![]() I do not and never had either Origin or The EA app installed on my PC. I don't like things being slid onto my PC from EA when I am online. After all, their servers allowed me to download my content, it didn't stop me because I wasn't on patch - Yes, I install content when not connected to the internet. Until they officially announce this, I can only assume support for my version of the game is still supported. Not once has EA made a statement to its disc players to re-install the game to digital because updates or fixes would ONLY be given to 'digital' version of the game. Nor have I seen or heard any official mention that the disc version of the game (v167) is currently unsupported. However, as far as I know this game has not been listed as 'retired' on their official site. Thank - I feel you may be correct on two points:Ģ- I am not playing the game in the way EA currently wants me to play (through their app). If this cannot be answered here, please forward my post to the department which can offer assistance. So, I was not connected to EA's servers when the continued fails happened nor continued to keep happening.ĭoes anyone know what is going on? Why is my game which has NEVER used Origin or the EA app is suddenly having this issue? When I install anything in my game I always do it when "offline". My back-ups were created in 2014 and have never failed to install until now. When this didn't work, I tried to install the file with a copy from my back-up files. However, when I went to install the item the program which actually installs the file started and suddenly stopped. Recently, I downloaded another copy of an item I own from the Sims 3 Store to replace one which became corrupted in my game. Here is the problem I am currently having. I do not need or want to use my digital version of this game. This is the patch level I want to stay on. I have an all disc install of the game which is patched to v1.67. Information, Guides and Announcements for the EA app.
